Meyringer Georgi Leichtes Weizen
The Georgi Leichtes Weizen (2.8%) is amber in color and has a nice head. The beer smells of forest floor and porcini mushrooms, so it has a down-to-earth aroma reminiscent of earth tones. The very drinkable beer has a very pleasant mouthfeel. It also has blood orange flavor components, so overall a fresh and exceptionally good light wheat beer.

Meyringer Georgi Leichtes Weizen
500ml bottle [Thanks Maddie for transfering this regional rarity!]. Cloudy amber colour with average, frothy, white head. Slightly bready, wheaty aroma, a citrusy lemon dash, cautious hints of baked banana. Taste is wheaty, minimally bready, a touch of lemon; rather watery. Nicely refreshing, without any hint of mugginess, not overly rich, of course.

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours hazy pale orange, thick white head. Banana and clove party, basically.

Meyringer Export
Kaum CO2, keine Schaumkrone. Test vom 26.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 2,6,7,6,8,6 - 5,85

Meyringer Georgi Weizen
Herb-süßer Antrunk, wenig hefig, minimal bitterer Unterton.

Test vom 26.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,5,6,5,6,5 - 5,50

Meyringer Export
500ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Oktoberfest 2009)
Pale slightly hazy gold, frothy head. Sickly sour aroma - rotting berries. Soft palate, a bit creamy and again sour fruits. Lagery, but not so malty. OK green hops and a slightly buddy finish. Interesting sharpness, but this isn’t to everyone’s taste I’m sure. Easily drinkable. Unusually, not shared by Anna.

Grainy wheaty aroma. Very simple, classic crisp refreshing hefe. No unique features, but has all the things that I like. Perhaps a touch grainier than usual. Packed full of coriander.
