Maritime Pacific Jolly Roger Christmas Ale
16 oz can, picked up at Cost Plus. This one is very easy to find in the PNW every winter, and I guess I had just always assumed I rated it at some point. Considering the 7 year hiatus on ratings, I feel like everyone that will ever rate it, already has. I'll check back next winter to confirm, and will update this rating with my findings. Solid winter warmer, so I'm not surprised it comes back year after year. Bold toasty malts with a spicy note lingering late. It has a bite, but its easier than 9.5. Caramel and bran notes. Slight pine like bitterness. Picked like the warmest winter evening possible to crack this. Would love this outside in the brisk Christmas time.

Maritime Pacific Nightwatch Dark Amber Ale
Light brown color with a toasty malt aroma. Flavor starts with caramel malt sweetness, toast, earthy, and balanced by a mild floral hop finish. Slightly dry, smoky, and spicy. Very good.

Maritime Pacific Flagship Red Alt Ale
Keg at The Jolly Roger, Seattle, WA on 02/09/2008. This was reported to be an Alt when I sampled it, but it was perhaps a little strong on the bitterness for that style. Toasted malt, biscuit and grassy flavours.

Maritime Pacific Imperial IPA - Double Dry Hopped
Tap at Anthony’s Bell Street Diner at Pier 66 in Seattle. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma seems pine. Medium body at least. Flavor has a touch of pale malt with pine. Bitter enough. Nice.

Maritime Pacific Islander Pale Ale
20 z. at Columbia City Ale House. This is a fairly clear amber with a tall head. It seems more like a British pale ale to me with some stonefruity yeast character, but maybe that's just the hop choice. It's certainly malty enough to be English style. Lots of biscuit is present with a firm hop bitterness. The finish is kind of toffee sweet to balance.

Maritime Pacific Old Log Cabin Bourbon Aged IPA
On tap at Maritime Pacific, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued wood and resinous hops. Flavour is quite woody, with lots of resinous hops, light bourbon and toasted biscuity malt. Really nice bourbon character to complement the hops - unusual synchrony here. Excellent.

Maritime Pacific Don't Give A Ship IPA
On tap at Maritime Pacific, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, with citrus and some herbal character - doesn’t smell like a hazy IPA. Flavour tastes more like a hazy IPA, with piney hops, some resins, and biscuity malt. Woody, piney and resinous. Nicely done.

Maritime Pacific Old Seattle Lager - Double Dry Hopped
On tap at Maritime Pacific, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out stew and cereal malt grains. Flavour is very clean, with cereal malts, straw and a touch of floral hops. Cereal-like, with dry graininess on the finish. Well-done for what it is.

Maritime Pacific Old Ballard 900 Malt Liquor
Draft pour to a schooner at Maritime Pacific. Random visit here. Random styles here. I'm on board. Clean and clear golden pour. Coating foam head and lacing. Huge corn fronted flavor and aroma. Corn and cream. Not really harsh in any way, and hardly tastes heavy. A Session India Malt Liquor style shall be installed on this site immediately! Then we can worry about the barrel aged, dry hopped versions later. In all seriousness, this is a smooth and enjoyable offering in the style, especially when playing the comparison game. Too much corn for my taste, but it is what they say it is. I'd drink this again.

Maritime Pacific Old Log Cabin Bourbon Aged IPA
Draft pour to a schooner at Maritime Pacific. Came here unexpectedly, and found a few unexpected beer styles. Very cool! I remember my last Bourbon aged IPA. They are few and far between, but always a unique treat. Aroma is very modest. Almost no indication of any barrel treatment. Tamed hops on the nose, I suppose. Flavor is incredibly smooth. I really like what the wood does to this IPA. No booziness transfers at all here. It's all flavor. A bit cool in the lingering flavorful finish. Finds the balance between a hoppy IPA, and a true whiskey taste without any harsh character. The flavor seems to come in waves. One sip is a full rich hop flavor, with the next being a true, smooth bourbon. Truly impressed with this offering. Loved it.

Maritime Pacific Don't Give A Ship IPA
Draft pour pint at Maritime Pacific. I love puns and good beer both, so this series, along with the Regatta series, have been fun for me to enjoy. Not really the appearance I've come to expect from a hazy NE IPA, as this pours a half cloudy, half clear golden orange get with an active, thin fizz head. Taste and texture is on the creamier side. A citrus peel fronted flavor, with a matching bitterness. A nice hybrid between a hazy and a more classic feel with this IPA, in my opinion of course. In beers like this, I like to eliminate the style all together, and enjoy it as it should be. A good beer. Enjoyed this one.

Cooper’s, Seattle. White foam, dull cloudy orange. Earthy orange and pine, body is similar flavors with sweet, round resin dominating. Flavors are low and balanced. Enjoyable, and a bit of a departure in hop profile from other maritime beers I recall. Nice.

Maritime Pacific Saigon Siblings Lagered Ale
Ba Bar U Village, Seattle. Creamy, bright white head on a rather cloudy dull gold body, clearish edges. Interesting look. Sip is nicely sharp-bitter lager at finish, with a creamier ale feel up front. Intriguing. Warm biscuity, fresh baked bread malt flavors throughout. Refreshing at finish, with creaminess in middle. Great food beer. I’m impressed.

Maritime Pacific Regatta Series - Ship Happens IPA
This is a well balanced strong IPA. I would say it is malty enough and hoppy enough for me. I'm a lover of a well balanced brew in which the malt flavor is perfectly matched with hop bittering and aroma. This one fits the bill and delivers a nice 7%. It is not a session IPA but a tasty traditional IPA with delicious malt and hop flavor.

Maritime Pacific AC 50 IPA
MP - Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. White cream, light mostly clear orange gold. Buttery nose, which becomes butterscotch on the tongue. Creamy, butter-edged, full sweet mouthfeel. Dry woody notes at finish. Odd and not working well for me.

Maritime Pacific Regatta Series - Ship Happens IPA
MP - Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. Creamy foam, mostly clear gold. Odd, fascinating sweet sip. Caramel, batteries, molasses and green hop. My first time with a Target single hop, so I guess this is the profile. Creamy malt nose, hops are present but understated. Wort smells. Creamy mouthfeel before a lighter bitter finish. Lots of sweetness that is a bit unlike what I’ve seen before in an IPA. A bit of butterscotch feel that I see in some strong ales and barleywines. Odd but fine.

Maritime Pacific Regatta Series - Ships and Giggles IPA
Draft 12 oz pour at Maritime Pacific, Ballard. Fun series, coming from the fan of both beer and puns. Hazy golden pour with a thin, oily head. Rating for the Mariners 5th Homerun of the year. Mitch again! Hazy golden pour. Melon hop like aroma. Flavor has a tropical note to it. Banana almost. Unique profile in an IPA. Packed full of flavor. Pretty good beer.
