4 Wunder Porter Keg at Toronado, San Francisco, CA on 20/05/2008. Shame these guys closed down, because this was a fantastic Porter. Rich, and full of roasted malt and big dried fruit. Wednesday, February 26, 2020

4 Wunder French Oak Barrel Aged Barley Wine Sampled at the Bar. A very well crafted beer. THe barley wine has a very full bodied taste with very sweet and hoppy taste. You can taste the strong oak barrel flavor, which gives it a individual appeal. Tuesday, February 19, 2008

3.4 Wunder California Common Sampled at the Bar. A pretty well crafted beer as it appears as though they are just srating up. Poured nice and dark. Has a smooth finish and very strong malty goodness. Monday, February 18, 2008

3.3 Wunder French Oak Barrel Aged Barley Wine Tap: This was one of the most unique, off the beaten path BW’s I have tasted. I think it has a lot to do with the French Oak. It is brown in color with not much of a head. The aroma is strong butter and is perhaps the sweetest and richest BW I have tasted. It is all thick buttery flavors with the sweetness of a Butterworth’s original. These flavors mask the higher alcohol % well. It leaves a thick coating in your mouth. It is rich, like a cheesecake of Barley wines. I am not sure if I like it or not, but definitely different. Sunday, February 3, 2008

3.2 Wunder IPA Tap: Murky brown color with a mild, grassy aroma. Hoppy flavors of ripe citrus and wet meadow grass. The aftertaste was a bit off putting - it seemed to have something tinny going on. Sunday, February 3, 2008

3.6 Wunder Stout Tap: Lovely dark look with a thick, light-brown head. Strong notes of caramel in the aroma and taste accented by some dark chocolate. A little more zing or tang? (perhaps more hops than normal?). it leaves a smooth aftertaste for you to enjoy. Sunday, February 3, 2008

3 Wunder Wheat Tap: Cloudy yellow gold with a light & fresh aroma. Citrusy sweet followed by a musty thing going on in the aftertaste. Quite sweet and one of the least annoying American Wheat’s I have had. Sunday, February 3, 2008

3 Wunder California Common Tap: Brown with no head. Malty aroma with a strong backbone. Lively carbonation with a sweet aftertaste. Pretty good, but a little to sweet in my opinion. Sunday, February 3, 2008

2.7 Wunder Brown Beer Tap Brown color with red hues and a small brown head. Sticky lacing was all over the top half of the glass. Nothing special - malty with a little more backbone than your average dark lager. Sunday, February 3, 2008

2.6 Wunder Wheat Sampled at the brewhouse in the city. Pours light yellow. Overall not a great wheat as its dry. Not their best. Wednesday, January 30, 2008

3.5 Wunder Stout Similar to the porter but with a thicker head. This beer also features the big burnt coffee aromas. Slightly sweeter and a bit smoother on the tongue. Good. Thursday, September 6, 2007

3.4 Wunder IPA Pretty solid IPA here. Juicy aromas of citrus fruit. Body is lively. Flavor slightly sweet. Good bitter kick at the end. Good stuff. Thursday, September 6, 2007

2.5 Wunder Wheat Pours light yellow and very hazy, murky actually. Mild aromas of straw and slight clove. Flavor is dry. Very high acidity, probably the most acidic wheat I’ve tried. This causes the beer to be out of balance. Not a fan. Thursday, September 6, 2007
