Bottled. An amber beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and caramel as well as light notes of dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and light notes of cardboard, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Coppery colored with little yellow head. Grainy aroma with caramel and slight toffee, some biting hoppy note also present. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor starts with even stronger toffee, some lemon and same grains also here. Round aftertaste dries with lemon. Well, nothing like pils, and not too good.

It is a beautiful orange-golden beer and the aroma has a light sourness, notes of malt and light fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, fruit, light citrus and caramel. It ends on a dry and slightly bitter note. It is quite OK and pleasant to drink.

On tap at the brewpub. A golden-orange hazy beer with a small white head. Dusty, citric and acidic nose with sweetness, and pale malts. The flavor is much the same, with obvious signs of infection, and a finish where even a nice bitterness cannot hide the sourness and acidity. Medium body and a good carbonation. Good drinkability, at least if you overlook the infection. (080914)

Fredericia Torve Red Ale
On tap at the brewpub. A hazy orange-red beer with a minimal white head. Slightly dusty and citric aroma, indication infection or dirty lines, and there is also some sugars and fruityness. Sweet and fruity flavor, some peach, and almost syrupy, with some infection. Nice bitterness and fruityness in the finish. Smooth, medium bodied and with a nice level of carbonation. The beer was certainly infected, but was probably nice when fresh. Now it didn’t even tempt me to finish it. (080914)

0.5 l bottle. Hazy orange brown color with vanishing head. Sweet, caramelly, worty, bready and grainy aroma with notes of pine, glue and hay. Thick, sweetish, caramelly, bready and worty flavor with some fruitiness. Some bitterness and nuttiness in the finish. It is pretty far-fetched to call this a pilsner.

Bottle. Frothy white excellent mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate sweet caramellic flavor. Light sweet and moderate bitter average finish. Oily palate. I think this is more a vienna than pilsner!

Tap @ the brewpub, Fredericia.
Pours hazy coppery amber with no head. Aroma is sweet, light cardboard, some caramel and weak, grassy hops. High carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour starts off with some cardboard and yeast. But it does redeem itself (slightly) with caramel and toffee and an okay bitter, hoppy and slightly dry finish.

Pours dark, lightly hazy golden with a small, frothy, white head. It quickly becomes a thin film. Aroma has some ashy notes, a bit of toffee, lots of wet malts and brewing cereal sweetness. Some rye bread as well. None of these aromas are particularly nice to have... Highish carbonation, rather watery palate. Flavour is sweet, very grainy, some plastic and brewing cereal. Not good.

Pours clear amber with a white frothy head. Aroma of noney, some hops and a bit flowery. Flavour is sweet at first, that quickly becomes hoppy and dry out your mouth and the again finishes on caramel notes.

On tap at the brewpub. Foggy orange body with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity with some hops. Flavor is malt, fruity with a harsh infected acidulous bitterness. Totally out of balance. The first impression was a bit promising, then it went downhill all the way.

Draught. Low and quickly disappearing off-white head. Hazy peach coloured body. Funny aroma that does not feel fright. Flavor similarly strange. I guess it is coriander or some other spice I cannot quite figure out. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

(Hand boottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a white head. Citrusy nose. Medium body with sweetish malt and fruit and a fairly bitter finish. Drinkable, but doesn’t come out as much of a Pilsener. 120708

(On tap) Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of yeast and chemicals - solvents. Medium body, tart and fruity and again unpleasantly chemical. Somewhat astringent finish. Really unpleasant. 3/3/2/2/5=1.5 031008

(On tap) Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish caramel in the aroma with a whiff of butter. Medium body with sweetish caramel and fruit combined with a distinct buttery note. Rather bitter and raw finish. 031008

(Hand bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber colour with weird stringy impurities and a small, off-white head. Unclean chemical nose - solvents. Light in body, unclean and chemical. Astringent and unpleasant. Downright ugly. Desperately needs a rerate. 2/2/1/1/2= 0.8 120708

Handbottled. An unclear beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, leading to a bitter and dry finish, where the straw note lingers. Thanks a lot to yespr for bringing this to Copenhagen and sharing.

Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Average foamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of mild grass, fruit, mild caramel. Over the palate came mild toasted malt. Light bodied with an average carbonation. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Light bitter finish. 5 / 3 / 5 / 3 / 12

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced malty aroma. Flavour is malty with a mild caramel malt note. Medium sweet flavour. Light bitterness into the finish. Well - a fine brew with no flaws, yet the recipie seems somewhat unfinished, but I was told that this is still at a somewhat experimental stage.
