Dark chocolate, toffee, cara, marzipan, vanilla, candy sugar, earthy notes, some tobacco, lemon zest. Dry zesty bitterness, chocolate toffee sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty malty chocolate bittersweet finish. What an excellent tmavý! Sunday, January 14, 2024
tgrtnr	3.4 Železná Ruda Švejk 12° 1l PET bottle from the brewpub. Pours unclear dark orange golden with a big fluffy head. Butter, toffee, vanilla, dry lemon zest, lemon juice, grassy Saaz hops, some dark honey and rye, not that much amount of diacetyl, but noteable. Dry zesty bitterness, some sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty hoppy bittersweet finish. A rather hop-bitter Czech Pilsner, not that much amount of butter and vanilla as I expected, but a really good crisp, balanced refreshing beer! Monday, January 8, 2024
