From Zombier. In Teku glass. Watching Lod Soprano 3x11. Caramel and pineapple, with a good dose of bitterness and a smooth and dangerously drinkable feeling for such a high ABV

Mission Dark Seas Imperial Stout
Picked up out on Big Sur with Patty, Andy and Kara. Heavy aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste is predominantly sweet chocolate that coincides well with a touch of bitter coffee in the aftertaste. Full body, soft carbonation. A good one!

Mission Hefeweizen
Hazy deep golden with a thin white foamy top. Semisweet wheaty and clovey and slightly honey nose. Similar flavor that’s bready, fluffy, slightly grassy, a touch of bubblegum and clove, just tastes mellow and "Americanized" and just kinda whatever.

Mission Coffee IPA
Pours a little more orange, golden than I expected from a coffee. But I suppose that’s the IPA. Aroma is sort of burnt coffee rinds. Very nice, malty coffee flavor with this beer.

Mission Imperial Wheat With Blood Orange
On tap at BeerNV 9/7. Somewhere between a wheat ale and a wheatwine - not quite heavy enough to be barleywineishm but a full to medium full body. Blood orange on the nose and up front on the tongue is nice. Bit of a one trick pony, but pleasant.

Miam !

Bomber, thanks Christina! Caramel malt aroma with pine and citrus hop notes. Pours cloudy amber colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and some lacing. Starts with sweet caramel malt and some citrus hop flavors. Finishes dry and bitter with big pine resiny hoppiness and bitterness that coats the palate. Pretty good, but a little bitter on the finish.

Mission Dark Seas Imperial Stout
Zapach: Na starcie poczułem intensywny sos sojowy. Słodycz podbija cukier brązowy, karmel i odrobina paloności. Póki co zapowiada się ciekawie:)
Smak: W smaku pierwsze skrzypce gra kawa cappuccino, kakao i karmelowe latte macchiato. Nieprawdopodobna lekkość picia, gładkość i kremowość.
Wysycenie: Niskie, super-delikatne.
Podsumowanie:
Degstacje zaliczam do w pełni udanych. Moje pierwsze piwo z Browaru Mission Brewery z San Diego i debiut wyborny. Dodatkowo brak nasycenia podwaja to odczucie. Poza tym wszystko cacy.

Bomber, thanks Christina! Grapefruit citrus hop aroma with pine resiny hop and slight tropical fruit notes. Pours clear copper colored with a huge, soapy off white head that has excellent retention and moderate lacing. Starts with grapefruit citrus hop flavors as well as a touch of tropical fruit. Finishes dry and quite bitter from the strong pine resiny hop flavor that asserts itself quickly and overcomes the palate. Pretty good IPA, however the finish is quite bitter.

Really good amber even though it isn't one per se.

Bottle (from frima bier?). Pours dark brown-black with light brownis head. The head stays. Aroma is vodka like booze, roast, dark chocolate, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, booze, roast, dark chocolate, malt, sugar, caramel, booze. Finish is rather intense hoppy-roasty bitter. Did I say it’s boozy?! Drinkability is ok-ish. Overall: this would probably get better rating from me, but drinking this after the fantastic Wild Beer Wildebeest it feels like a real big step backward (and they are both rated the same - 99 currently int RB). This is really really boozy (not in a good way) and simple compared to the Wildebeest. Gets better as it warms up, but still rather simple and boozy brew.

Mission Holiday Ale
Bottle from KNB: Poured a dark brown liquid that appeared opaque in the center with light brown transparency on the outer edges. As for the head, thin layer of foam cap that quickly reduced. Aroma smells odd and as if the yeast as clearly past its expiration date in the bottle even though it is February which is still technically considered Winter. Flavor is weak with semi-sweet sugared caramel with a blend of spiced Belgian yeast where both flavors lacked any real characteristic substance. No expiration date or bottle date listed but I am just hoping this bottle is from 2015 and not 2014 because it clearly taste and smells like it has expired, ratings reflect my score of this beer.

Bottle. It pours hazy amber with a creamy off white head. The aroma is biscuit malty with berry like and floral hoppy notes. Light sweet marmalade. Creamy malty flavor with citrus and floral hoppy notes. Sweet toffee notes with biscuit and marmalade. Really tasty and even though it’s to the sweet side the floral and berry parts are very well joined up here. Lovely. No sign at all of the high abv.

Mission Dark Seas Imperial Stout
0.355l bottle. Yeah, it’s undoubtedly a dark black oily one this. On top there’s a super creamy but fading beige head. On the nose it has lots of marshmallows, roasted goodness and it’s quite on the sweeter path. Some woody tones, chocolate for sure and a little sweet licorice thing. Smells nice. It doesn’t taste bad eiter this. In the mouth it’s nice and oily and it’s soft on the carbonation. Much more licorice in the taste. The salty good kind, next along with espresso coffee, bitter cocoa beans and vanilla hints. It’s a really flavorful one, dark and perfect for sipping. Nice. 18.12.2015
