Taste is sweetish, tangy, tart, apple, juicy & fruity, with some core and skin, alittle caramel, funk and bittersweet drying tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, medium dry tannic finish. MicroGrog	3 Cidrerie du Vulcain Cidre Rose de Torny Bottle from Tipsy in Brooklyn. Stemless wine glass @home. Clear, iced-tea colored brew. Not really what I think of as Rose, but I learned that's what the eventual name of the apple became. Stinky sulfur, farts, macerated apples, buttery popcorn, pear sweetness. Doesn't really dissipate much. Sweet, old & macerated apples, pear sweetness, solid tannins. Lots of residual keeved sweetness. Light barnyard. Salt. Oak. Soft vinegar. Rind bitterness. Maybe too sweet. Frothy, mellow carbonation. Somewhat tannic, drying. Too much sugar. Low mark for an otherwise solid cidery. Sunday, December 26, 2021
MicroGrog	3.7 Cidrerie du Vulcain Belle Brutale Bottle from Tipsy in BK I think. Wife actually bought it, guessing. 7.1% ABV. 2017 fruit, 2018 bottling I believe. Eighteen months in storage upright, two days in the fridge to chill. Mojito glass again because it lets me dip my big nose all the way in. Though unfiltered, I thought this would settle more. Hazy orange amber with a billowy & loud top after every pour. Yeasty, mineral-y, earthy, salty, way faded spices. French cider nose. Dry, bittersharp apple skins, briny beach essence, starchy yeast, white wine, bitter peach, lingering pith, potent. Sneaky acid build up. Dryer than some of his other bottles; Heavy. Lacks any definitive note. Cotton mouth, yeasty, fuzzy & constant carbonation, sulfites, possibly stronger than the 7.1% listed. He makes better ciders, but this is appropriately hearty for a chilly fall night where I'm too cheap to turn on the heat just yet. Good. Thursday, October 28, 2021

Fruity nose with notes of apples, hay, yeast, cobweb and slightly earthy, funky aromas. Fruity, slightly tart taste with apples, citrus, stone fruit, minerals, flowers and yeast. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. The mild acidity and mineral tones balance the slight sweetness really good. Refreshing and very tasty cider. Very nice. Saturday, August 14, 2021
MicroGrog	3.7 Cidrerie du Vulcain Trois Pépins Bottle from Tipsy in BK. Duvel glass @home. Foamy, off-gold to orange, opaque. Smells of lime, sweet tarts, red apple skin, beeswax, bitters. Lemon, lots of drying pithy apple cores, honey, whiskey sour. Drying texture, okay carbonation, slightly boozy, yeasty bottom. Not as refined as some of the other ciders on the label, though way better than average. Quince is a great sideshow, but again, is better elsewhere. Still a great cider, but didn't wow.
