colui72	4.2 Ölvisholt Lava Smokey on the nose, roasted barley, dark chocolate and liquorice. Pours black, brown head with good retention and some laces. Medium bitterness, robust and rich, smokey grain, chocolate and even savory. Finishes warm and with a lingering volcano sensation. Full bodied, medium carbonation, alcoholic warmth. Aroma is smoked, roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, bonfire, meaty edge. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth, low carbonation. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, burnt malts, vineousness and red wine. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vineousness, red wine, vanilla, dark chocolate, cocoa powder and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, wood, alcohols and bitterness. Nose is dusty hops, red berry fruits, brown bread, raspberries, berry pips. Taste comprises red berries, straw, light funk, grains, biscuit. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge. Aroma of caramel, malt, bread, dried fruits, nut, hint of chocolate, chalky earthy edge. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, quite fizzy. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel, dates, figs, treacle-toffee, apples, nuts, honey, orange peel, a slight touch of peat, Madeira wine and a gentle spicy bitterness in a warming finish. mcberko	3.4 Ölvisholt Jóra 330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is rather murky and muffled, with dry earthy cocoa nibs and a hint of chili -- I don't detect the barrels. Flavour is pleasant enough, with lots of husky cocoa, a bit of chili burn, and boozy oak to round it out. The huskiness I could do without, but there's still a nice cocoa character. The chili is fine, but doesn't really add much. Palate is thin, but there's at least some depth to this. Pleasant, but nothing remarkable. Monday, June 20, 2022
mcberko	3.1 Ölvisholt Millí Vanillí 330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with both campfire smoke and intense vanilla, with plenty of roasted malt at its core. Flavour is deep and fairly strong, with a ton of vanilla upfront that quickly gives way to a peaty, campfire smoke that dries this out nicely. Smoky, peaty and full of vanilla-y, with a rather dense, dry, roasty palate. There's not a whole lot of complexity and it's somewhat jagged in balance. The vanilla becomes harsher and more awkward, and the peat just amplifies its awkwardness. Decent enough but nothing to get excited about and tough to drink after a while. Monday, June 20, 2022

Taste is intense, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee. Not getting too much smokiness. Nevertheless, a work of art and up there with the world's best beers.
