On tap at the brewpub, deep mahogany with a lacing beige head, malty nose with hints of chocolate and smoke, sweetish body, faint tart edge, dark dried fruit in mouth, dry toffee on the finish. Nice northern style schwarz.

Draft. A hazy red-brown beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of smoke and hints of butter. The flavor is very sweet with primary notes of roasted malt, but also lighter notes of butter, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry and slightly buttery finish.

Draft. A hazy dark amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of brewmash as if it hasn’t finish fermenting combined with notes of caramel, straw, and grain. The flavor is sweet with notes of grain and bread, and then caramel, combined with lighter notes of citrus and hay, leading to a rather bitter finish.

Clear medium red brown color with a small large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, burnt chocolate, nutty notes, light fruity - berry. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, chocolate malt, nutty, caramel, dry finish, roastred, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice schwarzbier did very well together with my food ;O) [20101222]

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small and creamy white head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight grassy. Light grassy to mild citrusy hops flavoured. Smooth and nicely balanced with a slight sweet malt base. Medium bitter and smooth finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a deep orange glare and a creamy and tan head. Aroma is dark toffe, roasted malty and breadish. Mild hoppy note coming through. Lingering toffee malt and roasted flavours into the finish.
