Bottle shared thanks to jinroh, thanks! Clear golden with no head. Hazelnuts, alcohol, burnt bread, lots of oxidized notes, sweet rice. Some plums, overripe fruits, sherry. Light sour and sweet with some light bitter alcohol. Light bodied and flat. Oh wow this is not bad for a sake!

Chikumanishiki Kizan Sanban Junmai Ginjo Koshu Sake
Rare sake styles tasting at Platz. Pours brown, quite clear pour. No carbonation. Nose is soft, lightly sweetish, some apple povidlo and apple peels jam. Acidity coming out. Light beewax. Taste has quite high acidity as well. Light toffee with apple pie, sweetness reduced. Body is rich and quite balanced. Quite multy-layered, characterful. Would go great with chocolate or caramel popcorn.

720ml bottle - shared by jinroh - thanks! (4:2:6:2:10=2.4)
Erm, similar to many a sake, a light riciness in the aroma. Curious colour, too hard for my eyes, still. Oxidised taste, almost a maltiness, raisin loaf, and a pleasant tartness too. Palate is flat, and has the warmth of the alcohol. As does the finish. Curious one, but seems like a watered down barley wine with added alcohol. My palate is not attuned to this kind of drink at all. But I freaking hate Bollinger toop, so what do I know?

720ml bottle, thanks jinroh. Pours clear golden brown colour, still. Aroma is caramelly, honey, hints of alcohol. Really different. Taste is sweeter, cheesy, even malty, sherry, bee wax, apples. Watered calvados? Easily drinkable and smooth. Very interesting, nice!

Toson no Nigori Sake
Bottle from my local Seiyu. Pours usual milky white, some rice sediment and not much carbonation. Light booze in the nose, lots of rice, boiled and fermented. Fruity notes. Tastes quite astringent and boxy, some bitterness. Creamy texture, soft mouthfeel. Doughy and relatively sweet. Finish is not very long, just some booze bitterness lingers in the back of my mouth. Difficult to evaluate this style of sake - but well, not sure I want to keep drinking this, small bottle I have might take some time to finish.

Un saké rond et fruité, à la bouche délicate et équilibrée, à défaut d'être longue et complexe. Agréable.

Bevuto freddo (temperatura consigliata).

Toson no Nigori Sake
Chilled glass from a 1.8 liter bottle at Okariba. Big floaties, creamy vanilla milkshake or cream float appearance. Sweet, milky aroma with vanilla and koji funk. Sweet, milky flavor, rice, koji, vanilla. Thick and nasty palate, as it should be. Works well as a nigori. Don’t really dig it, though.

Chikumanishiki Kizan Sanban Junmai Ginjo Koshu Sake
Uploaded info and picture. 750mL Bottle produced in (indicated) Febuary 1998. My first Koshu, and the last of my sake styles to rate. Pours a bit urine like in color. Pretty strong legs. Aroma is other and oxidized. Some cobwebs, old pineapple and kiwi. Taste is much different than any sake I have ever had. Earthy at the start and finish and an odd subdued fruit note throught. Slightly musky and acidic at the same time. Balanced, and no alcohol detectable (key notes for sake). Relativly thin mouthfeel. Very interesting and unique beverage. Offputting at first sip, but some how leaves me asking for more.
