Føniks Cherry Vintage
Bottle, 75cl, at ØlFestival 2012. It’s an unclear, orangey beer topped by a small, beige head. Fruity-sourish nose with cherries, malty sweetness and a faint lemony touch. A bit sweet on the palate, stinging on the tongues, still extremely soft and smooth, with flavors of berries, fruit syrup and a light sourish touch. Well, a bit uncertain what I shall say about this one. It’s decent, but also quite messy. Not a favorite. 120510

On tap at ØlFestival 2012. A dark brown beer topped by a small but nice-looking light beige head. Dried fruits, some roasted hints, a touch of oranges, and banana and bubble gum on the nose. The flavor is pretty much the same, although more pronounced roasted, but with the same bubble gum, banana and oranges. Full-bodied and soft on the palate. Banana and roasted malts in the finish. A decent beer, but I’d like a tad more bitterness. 120510
