3.7 Norfolk Square Lunatik IPA In Holt, in North Norfolk, on a wet and miserable day we stumbled across a store selling bottled beers from Norfolk Square Brewery. This beer pours amber with a quickly thinning off white head. The yeast does add the Belgian twist making it a very palatable, if somewhat unusual, given its lack of bitterness, IPA. 3.7 Norfolk Square Square Miled Bottle. Cromer Farm and Health, Norfolk. Clear, very dark red. Big, thick, foamy, lasting, pale tan head. Good looker. Soft, brown sugar toffee. Mild roast malt. Light nuttiness. Fruity sweet background. Taste is raisin sweet, with a nutty dryness. Palate is a little thin. Finishes short, fruity dry. Other than a thin palate, this was very drinkable. 2.4 Norfolk Square Raisin D'etre A hazy orange coloured beer with a weak white head. A strange banana and pear drop aroma, plus a hint of smoke. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off dry and biscuity malt, then a vegetal, unripened banana flavour leads a sweet fruity, definitely raisins, then the pear drop element comes through giving the taste into the finish a somewhat artificial flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Thursday, October 30, 2014

3.5 Norfolk Square Barmy IPA Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - soap and apples. Taste - more complexity than the nose, fruitcake is the main thing here. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a nice balanced finish. Overall - ale of the day, so far. Friday, October 24, 2014

3.3 Norfolk Square Barmy IPA 330ml shared with AshtonMcCobb. Hit The Norfolk Tasting. Pours hazy golden amber with a thin tan head. Aromas of soap and apples. Taste is mixed peel and toffee sweetness. Finishes sweet and boozy. Not bad. Friday, October 24, 2014

2.7 Norfolk Square Scroby Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - lemon, yeast and maybe some spice (white pepper). Taste - more of the same and astringent malt. Palate - light to medium bodied with astringency throughout. Overall - not great, a very astringent beer that is dominated by yeast and is lacking in flavour. Friday, October 24, 2014

3.8 Norfolk Square Twisted Porter Bottle. Cromer Farm and Health, Norfolk. Clear, very dark ruby red. Halo of tan head. Dried fruit. Malt loaf. Peppery spice. Light cocoa. Taste is cocoa sweet. Some dryness. Quite a kick of chilli, to start, but it cools pretty quickly, to leave a pleasant tingle in the mouth. Fairly rich, accentuated by soft carbonation, and a little oiliness. Finishes soft sweet, light dry, with a nice warmth, from both the chilli, and a bit of booze. Very decent. Sunday, October 19, 2014

4 Norfolk Square Barmy IPA before i comment its so over carbonated that i only cracked the cap off and im completely soaked. unimpressed. citrus, spruce and malt, thick foamy head on a murky cloudy amber body, tastes.... well im not sure.. its bitter, sweet and a little bit sour at the same time aith an indistinct flavour probably lemon flavour biscuits is the best i can think of... long finish that does require more... i quite like it after a bad start! Well done! Saturday, October 18, 2014

3 Norfolk Square Barmy IPA Pours lively with really thick whipped cream head. Murky dark yellow, light brown hue. Aroma of dough, malts and hint of hops. Taste is malty sweetness, ripe fruits, banana. The malts taste slightly odd and overdone. Not crisp but heavy. Some hops in the final flavours but really need more citrus. Very low hops for an IPA; needs far more aromatic hops/dry hopping. Average. Sunday, October 5, 2014

3 Norfolk Square Crazy Horse IPA Pours very lively with thick meringue head. Very dark like a Belgian Dubbel. Aroma of caramel, toffee and prunes. Taste is malty roasted sweetness, fruity, banana, plums and some citrus sharpness. Full, oily mouthfeel. Big alcohol punch with hoppy fruitiness at the end, moving to dry bitterness. Feels heavy. Certainly not an IPA, more of a very hoppy Dubbel/Brune. Slight odd combination of malts to hops. Interesting though. Sunday, October 5, 2014

3.2 Norfolk Square Scroby Bottle conditioned (500ml). Bright golden with a decent white head. Nose is light straw, flowery and lightly spicy hops. Taste is similar with a decent yet mellow bitterness. Low carbonation and lightish body make for easy refreshing quaffability. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Tuesday, September 16, 2014

3.8 Norfolk Square Bisquit Bottle from Cromer Farm and Health. Hazy, amber colour. Thin, clingy, off white head. No idea what style of beer this sets out as, but I’m guessing there’s Belgian yeast in there. It’s dry and fruity. A little banana and clove. Almond, by way of a marzipan thing going on. Like a Belgian strong ale. Smooth palate. Dry, banana, fruity finish. Very nice. Monday, July 21, 2014

3.8 Norfolk Square Barmy IPA Bottle from Bakers and Larners of Holt, Norfolk. Hazy, dark gold. Thin, foamy, white head. Caramel. Soft toffee. Fusty, bloomy orange. Light, ripe banana. Taste is sweet on the lips, then pink grapefruit, zesty bitter. Palate is soft, but oily. Finish is long, rising, pithy bitterness. Unusual. The description states all English ingredients. It comes across US hopped, and Belgian yeasted! That’s by way of a compliment, mind. Sunday, July 13, 2014
