Backyard Gold 3.4
The Felix, Nuneaton. Bright and lacy with a beckoning gust of greenery, nettles, Darjeeling and grapefruit. Doesn’t quite deliver on that promise but has a go with soapy grapefruit, flowers, jellied citrus, some creeping almond of booze. Nettles and soap. Good bitterness. Barely a crumb of nutty malt. Solid.

Backyard Penda 3.2
Cask at Figure of Eight, Birmingham. Definitely calls itself a BIPA now, but isn’t hoppy, nor black enough to be that. A fairly reasonable Premium I’d say. Okish toasty taste, with gentle graininess and a salt crust. Pretty light.

Cask at The Old Courthouse, Coleraine - pours golden orange with clean white head. Subtle aroma of sweetness, maybe a little elderflower. Mouthfeel a tiny bit thin, but probably due to the dryness. Good grapefruit bitterness, probably at the edge of sessionable. A little marmalade coming thru as it warms.
