dahilein	2.9 Karma Lemon Ale The beer comes in a completely different stumpy bottle now, which seems to be favoured by some Italian breweries. It's nice even if it does pose some problems for packaging. Pours to a gushing 10cm head. Again, will have to wait to sample... Porous medium dissipating head. Cloudy mid-yellow. Lemony, yeasty, clove, spice, sligh butter tones or something on the nose. Carbonation is the first thing to greet in the mouth. Then a good solid hit of lemon with some spice. Yeasty tones detectable. Carries over a bit to midrange but drops off quickly after. Kind of a flat lingering metallic taste. Ok but not that exciting. Friday, January 19, 2024

Grassy and minimally citrusy fruity hoppy aroma, strawy, pale malty background, a touch of lemon. Taste is slightly strawy, pale malty with low residual sweetness, grassy and minimally citrusy fruity hoppy, a touch of lemon. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Ritzn	3.6 Karma Carminia Also have the 6 abv version. Hazy amber. Aroma is dried fig honey vibrant tropic fruity hops lightly roasted bread. rumore	3.2 Karma Amber Doll 33cl bottle at Da Donato, Napoli, Italy. Pours amber gold, medium transparent, with fine whitish foam. Aroma has mostly the chestnut honey character. Gently sweet, quite yeasty, gently spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of banana, clove, coriander, nutmeg, some grains and light lemon peel. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, fairly yeasty, gently fruity and a little fruity-floral taste of banana, clove, nutmeg, coriander, some grains and hints of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Very solid Belgian Ale, somewhere between a Blond and a Witbier, typically yeasty, no gimmicks. Tuesday, September 20, 2022

Relatively weak, minimally grainy, pale malty and minimally tart-ish, fruity aroma, hints of unripe apricot, a touch of protein. Taste is slightly fruity, malty, minimally grainy spicy and mineral, chalky, hints of unripe apricot, some protein. Watery texture, slightly dry and somehow minimally crumbly palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Idiosynkrasie	2.2 Karma Lemon Ale 750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, diminishing, if at all minimally lacing, white head. Rather strange aroma, initially notes of rubber and leather, shoe sole, later analysable as coriander and lemon, some nutmeg as well, whiffs of mandarine, widely disguised, wheaty malty background. Taste is spicy and slightly citrusy fruity, sweet-ish, wheaty malty basis, hints of coriander, ginger, nutmeg, a touch of lemon and mandarine. Slightly oily, watery texture, soft palate, medium, widely scattered, mildly prickly carbonation, somehow rather insipid overall. A bit weird: overspiced, not refreshing; no off-flavours, but quite unbalanced - a waste of effort. Friday, June 3, 2022

Grumbo	3.4 Karma Carminia 21/9/2019. Bottle from Die Bierothek, Leipzig. This is a 6% IPA so should probably be separately listed (though I see others have listed it here). Attractive old medicine bottle shaped bottle, this one produced for the Die Bierothek chain as it has their logo and the label is written in German. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a lasting slightly foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, grapefruit, pine and malt. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Not bad, but needed a little more body. Saturday, September 21, 2019

Il liquido è di aspetto velato e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La carbonazione è allegra e vivace. Il colore è giallo dorato carico. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il finale è semplice e dissetante. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, crosta di pane, erba, agrumi, vaniglia e arancia. Friday, July 5, 2019
