BlackHaddock	3.4 Beartown Eclipse Monday 8th April 2024, Skipton Pub Crawl with Ant, Maureen, Margie, Auntie Sue and me, plus Tilly and Bertie (the dogs). Hand-pulled half-pint in The Beer Engine. Almost black in colour, good tanned foaming head. It's malty with chocolate and coffee flavours to the fore. Slightly sweet with a mini-burnt malty bitterness in the finish. Tuesday, April 9, 2024

Martinsh	2.3 Beartown Spring Cleaning Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours lemon yellow with minimal off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is basically citrus with some hints of grains mixed in. In the mouth it is sharp with citrus prominent plus lemon and grapefruit and trsces of melon andmango leading to a dry and sticky finish. Not my find of beer at all. Sunday, February 11, 2024
Martinsh	3.7 Beartown Skinful Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours golden amber with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly fudge and toffee mixed with the expected malts. In the mouth it starts off sweet with toffee to the fore again. However, some underlying bitterness soon comes through and this increases to become dominant. Flavour has floral hops and traces of orange and ginger. Bitterness lasts into the finish. I’m not too keen on Beartown beers, but this is decent. Saturday, February 10, 2024

Al naso leggera ossidazione, verdura cotta, note fruttate, leggermente erbacee. In bocca va un po' meglio, è equilibrata, con attacco maltato e amaro contenuto. Corpo leggero, carbonazione leggera. wheresthepath	3.5 Beartown Bearskinful Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a white head and a light to moderate fizz. Excellent condition, well done 'Spoons. Nice and fruity up front, a little caramel, and then a dry twiggy finish with a lasting marmalade bitterness. Very drinkable, very moreish, a decent bitter this. Friday, January 19, 2024

Martinsh	3.4 Beartown Lit Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester. Pours a slightly hazy straw with a small white head. Not much of an aroma – just vague traces of malt and yeast. In the mouth this starts off quite sweet with a creamy texture, malts to the fore and hints of hops. Later some bitterness creeps in alongside some grains and lemongrass. There’s a little stickiness in the finish. This is reasonable – which is praise because I don’t normally like Beartown beers ! Saturday, November 25, 2023

W tle wibruje ciemna czekolada i całkiem fajnie palona kawa. Lekkie nuty palonego drewna lub brykietu, pralinki, kakao. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with milky coffee, cocoa, roasted malts and some hints of cola. Some bitterness in the finish. This is a decent stout, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Decent looking pint, if a little underfilled. Aroma is very fruity, malty, caramel, leaves, berries. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, soft carbonation.
