33cl bottle at ’t Arendsnest. Deep reddish brown to black colour, thin off white head. Aroma of deep roasted malts, dried dark fruits, some caramel. Flavour is light sweet, caramel, hard roasted malts, light coffee, light fruity, nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good porter imo.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2009) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark fruit, caramel and wild berries. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, wild berries, toasty grain and a slightly bittersweet finish. Full bodied, rather sweet and with a quite warming touch of alcohol. Well balanced and very nice beer.

On tap at In de Wildeman. This dark brown ale poured with a thick foamy beige head and a plum and raisin aroma. There is a chalky sweet roasted malt flavor that is a bit thin but fairly tasty. There is some carbonation and bitterness at the finish.

From bottle at In de Wildeman. Dark redbrown with a smallish offwhite head. Fruity caramel aroma. The caramel and fruit flavours are balanced by good bitterness, ending dry. Well-carbonated. Not bad.

Bottle: Poured a murky chocolate brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma is chocolate, malt, and slight spice. Taste is highly vinegar and seemed infected, some malt. Eek bad bottle for sure!

Amber body. Slight head. Malty and chocolate taste, with notes of vanilla. A bit spicy. Pretty good for this brewery.

A Mes rate: bottle at Twickenham beer festival.
Hazy chestnut brown with a thin off white head. Very nutty indeed. Nice enough bit of chocolate malt in the background with some faint alcohol and caramel. A bit basic and rather boring. Rather thin in the mouth. Not amazing.

It’s a hazy dark amber colored beer, with a off white smal head. The taste is sweet with a little spicey. The taste has a little dark malt with sweet and some spicey notes. It’s a drinkable beer.
