St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), with notes of gum, pepper, honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Surprisingly tasty; straightforward perhaps, but clean, bright, and quite enjoyable.

Bottle@Home. Light fruity, herbal hops aroma. Hazy, yellow colour, off-white head, good lace. Sweetish, light bitter, fruity, herbal. Sticky mouth feel. Flavourful, very easy going sweet Saison.

Tap @ Bar Le Duc. A hazy orange/golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitters with flowers and some sweet of fruits. The taste is fruity, like citrus and orange, moving to nice bitterness of hops Good balance. In the back spices like coriander. The aftertaste is bitter with some sweet.

750ml. gold color with a large white head. aroma of floral hoppiness and straw. floral hops dominate flavor throughout. BIg aroma makes this beer awesome. yeasty character also always prevalent . Great beer shared with me by the great Richmonders at Once Upon A Vine South in Richmond Virginia. Great people...better brew.

On tap at Pizzeria Paradiso in Georgetown. Poured into tulip: cloudy light orange with a thin white head that leaves excellent lacing. Aroma is potpourri, curacao, white pepper, yeast. Taste is dry throughout; orange peel, perfume, herbal hops, sour peaches. Very good and true to style

On draft at The Happy Gnome. Gold in colour with a bit of haze and strong carbonation. Aromas are of pale and pilsner malts, spicy yeast, floral and herbal hops, and a bint of apricot. More pilsner malt in the mouth, along with notes of lemon, flowers, and more earthy hops. Drying, but not quite as bone dry as some saisons. Firm bitterness with a lingering finish. Classy stuff.

Quite a saison. Herbal hops, light grain, wild yeast and deft caramel malts populate the flavor profile. Much better than the brews that simply dump a dose of brett into the beer. Ever-so-slightly sour. Full palate, great weight, long finish. Glowing in the glass, with an "alive" orange hue. Grassy hops also bring a bit of peppery spice. Tarragon, clove, peppercorn. A complex and well-balanced beer.
