Tart funky aroma with crisp golden light fruit notes. Apple and pear notes with a subtle maltiness and slight hop presence.
Tart, sour and funky with some light golden fruit notes, mostly apple and pear with some slight banana notes. Slight malt backbone provides decent balance. There are some slight citrus peel notes and a very refreshing dry tart finish. GodOfThunder (864), Orlando, Florida, USA

Taste is wow- sour, grassy, hay and funk. The flavor made my mouth water. Aftertaste was citrusy and a tad sour. One of the best wild Belgian ales so far. Mmm...Tasty! valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Pours pale golden color with a thin white head that leaves a lasting film. Aroma is mild but has white grapes, barnyard, and apple. Flavor is more sour than I’d expect...slightly lactic in nature and fairly spicy. High level of tartness and a lemon note in the background. Very Berliner Weisse-like, but with an added funk...and this worked out well. Mild on the palate, with a lasting dryness that keeps you coming back. I thoroughly enjoyed this offering...a very fine sour.
