Commercial Description:
Our Spring Saison is light blonde in color with a fresh hoppiness and a wild and rustic Brettanomyces character. Lighter in color and alcohol than our Saison Rue, yet equally complex in its own way. Perfect for warmer weather and Spring celebrations.

750ml Bottle at the Cheeky Monk Belgian Cafe, Denver 26/09/2009 Hoppy slightly sour and floral berry fruit aroma. Big white head. Golden coloured strong in alcohol and hazy in appearance with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp malt finish. The ideal way to start GABF Saturday, this went down perfectly at breakfast accompanying the excellent Belgian waffles with mixed berries and sour cream!

Bottle [750ml] shared with the gang at ’WaterlooWeekend Oct.’09’ -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy with a good amount of funky yeast and some fruit (citrus & tropical). Flavour: Yup, tastes like a nice funky Saison, right on style -- very refreshing and flavourful. Medium bodied. Really great and very well made.

750mL bottle. Poured clear, paler golden with a gigantic cap of whipped white head.. settled down after a while and looked great. The aroma was very fragrant with dry, spicy Brett, floral, and fruity notes over a pale and bready malt base.. a bit of a musty presence from the bugs worked well.. balance was spot-on. The flavor opened with tart oaky notes, lighter fruits, and dusty Brett, with bready malts and a touch of fruit rolling onto the core.. the Brett and a little cardboard really took over and enveloped the mouth.. peppery on the back-end with a whole bunch of floral. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. bone-dry and just the slightest touch sour (both good things here).. this came together very well and I’d be glad to drink a lot more!

750mL bottle. Pours a bright, murky grapefruit color; huge, textured white head with great retention and lacing; nice pour. Very nicely bretty, citrus and mineral character in the aroma; dry, citrus acidity, with a well developed funky brettiness; quite dry. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of citrus, brett (lime, toastiness), white pepper; heavy carbonation, effervescence; very lively, fluffy presences; lots of yeast and peppery citrus; excellent, mouthwatering. Medium finish: toasty, bretty, citrus; nicely dry; excellent vibrant saison.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with a large, rocky white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), average hop (flowers, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth, musty) with notes of clove, pepper, coriander, and bandage; Orval-ish funk. Medium bodied, mineral texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Nice large bright white head of fine bubbles. Reduces to a nice rocky top. Typical excellent carbonation of a saison. Moderate grassy and citrus aroma with some lemon, spices, yeast and a hint of tartness. Color a a hazy golden orange. Livey in the mouth. Dry and spicy flavor with lots of citrus, herbal notes and some dried flowers. Bit of tartness and no real alcohol presence. Finishes spicy and dry with more herbs and dried earthy things. A decent saison
