Nov 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with a small head that goes away a bit fast. Nose quite citrusy, quite malty and quite hoppy. Taste is malty and crisp. quite bitter, especially on the finish. Quite dry. Quite drinkable. Overall this looks quite bitter and not as fruity and malty as some other good pils I had. Let’s blame it on the uncertain freshness of the bottle !

Nov 28, 2009 I have very little experience with Pils, most of it unimpressive, but I was quite pleased with this beer. The aroma in a Pils is usually my least favorite part, but Prima has a nice mild citrus aroma that I find capable if not downright pleasing. The head is quite impressive, and the color is exactly what you’d expect from a Pils; I don’t really know what a 2 score for appearance would be, and I’m trying to be fair to the style on the score. Taste has the somewhat spicy note of the Saaz that you usually see in Pilsners, but it’s a bit more aggressive and has nice lemon zest finish. This is a very good beer, even a great one, and it’s eminently drinkable. I just wish this was the kind of beer we could buy for 7 bucks a sixer, or at least 12 for 12.

Nov 23, 2009 Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine. Pours clear yellow with a big white head. Creamy malt nose with some subtle hops. Sweet malt flavor with a bitter hop finish. Good for the style I guess, but not as good as I had heard.

Nov 22, 2009 On tap at Collins Pub. Pours a pale gold with off white head and some lacing. This was at the end of my night so notes are scarce. Aromas are slighly caramel but also a bit of earthy and grapefruit. Tastes fresh of citrus and finishes on a bitter grapefruit.

Nov 17, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden-yellow with thin white head. Aroma is very earthy, somewhat floral, notes of bubblegum. Strong pilsener taste, good amount of hop kick, again somewhat floral. Nice bitter bite, excellent pilneser

Nov 16, 2009 Pours a nice golden yellow with loads of white head. Aroma is pretty noble, somewhat spicy. Flavor is herbal, spicy, piney, followed by malt. Mouthfeel nice and light. A fine brew.

Nov 16, 2009 Pours a very light color with a fluffy white head and good carbonation. Nice floral, hop and just a touch of malty sweetness on the nose. Taste is crisp, hoppy bitterness and a nice amount of citrus undertones. Gorgeous finish. Makes you want to drink a lot more than one.
