FT: My entire beer cellar

Posted by kenb

Ok, so i thought about selling the real good stuff on ebay, but then i thought, hey, I am always trading great beer for great beer. So why not offer my entire cellar of beer for trade here first.

Why am I offering my entire cellar you ask?

Because I am getting out of the ’hobby’. It has been 3 fun years, but it has become too unhealthy for me... for physical reasons. So...

My entire cellar is for trade for something non-beer related.

I will inventory it all and email anyone who is real interested and has something i might be interested in.

TO give you an idea, I estimate the value of my beer collection to be in the neighborhood of at LEAST $1200.

It includes mostly 2004-2007 bottles (80%) and a few 2008/2009...for example different vintages of Dark Lord,
Deschutes Abyss, Bells 7000, Bells Expedition, Duck Rabbitt Baltic and Imperials, Oak Aged Fat Dogs, Aged Brooklyn Chocolate Stouts, Weyerbachers, Fisttales, and dozens of other beers that at the perfect age, 1-4 years, most being about 2.

Items I am interested in trading for, a NICE Digital camera, Game System & games, various electronics devices, ammo, anything you have that might peak my interest.

Also I will consider breaking the cellar into smaller lots, if say you don’t want 5 bottles of Dark Lords, and six bottles of 07 Abyss...although I would if it were me ;)

But anyway i would consider breaking down into smaller lots of $200 or $300 each or so if nobody wants the entire cellar collection.

Please beermail me only if seriously interested. Not if you are just curious or kicking tires.

ISO: Gargamel, FT: things

Posted by j12601

Ok, so when Gargamel came out I had a few ISO threads going, had a pretrade set up, and then it seemed to fall through. I pursued getting a bottle a couple other times, but with no success.

So, currently in my possession are...

CL Flaming Fury
CL Castleton (Batch 3)
CL Rosso
CL Little Linda’s
CL SFTO Apple Brandy
LA Bourbon Angel’s share
LA Older viscosity
LA 09 Cuvee de Tomme

Anything else on my haves list is up for grabs, and I’d be amenable to working out a larger trade if’n you’d like.

This is pretty much the only beer I’m overly interested in getting my hands on that I have had no success or even a glimmer of hope with. So, bm away.

(1 replies) Read more of this discussion at RateBeer

FT Narke Stormakts Porter and Kaggen Stormakts 2008 ISO anything

Posted by cgarvieuk

Ok Ive got one bottle of each to offer up here in trade.

Now to be CLEAR read on, but this is NOT an action.

there are some rules though

1) you must have 3 postal trades under your belt (i will wait a few weeks if you can complete your 3rd before i ship)

2) you must have rated 100 beers.

3) you must not have had BOTH of them. So having had 1 is ok, but id then encourage you to pass the other on.

4) Not so much a rule, than an understanding. YOU must APPRECIATE how much INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE will cost you. Its NOT cheap.

Other than that, in the FORUM, I do not want FLOODED email box, Offer up what you think its worth to you(please Serious offers ONLY, ie no bud light for them)

and pick a number between 1 and 300.

I’ll let this run for a week or so. then the Person closest to the number that ive informed, 3 other rateberian of,( so im not tempted to just take the best offer. The WHOLE point of this is even if you dont have rare beer, this is OPEN to YOU. ) will get the trade.

We can then discus addition to the trade if that suits to make better use of international postage, or just leave it as is.

Hope this makes sence.

Posted by nickd717

Just picked up 2 of the 300-odd bottles of Veritas 006 at the Lost Abbey barrel tasting. Looking for Narke Kaggen Stormaktsporter, and to a lesser extent, Narke Stormaktsporter.

I don’t know the price of the Narke beers but am willing to go $4$ if they cost more than the Veritas. Have lots Russian River as well as lots of other good beers to make up the difference if need be. Would trade both Veritas bottles for both regular and Kaggen Stormaktsporter.

Have only done one trade on RB but have over 30 on BA and can provide references if needed. Darkness (’09)
3 year vertical of Founders Backwoods Bastard

Looking to do $4$, but I’m aware that’s not likely to happen given the hype. I’m also interested in BA Autumn Maple if no one is parting w/ any BT. Let me know if we can work something out.

Cheers

Posted by cbkschubert

I got a 12 bottle shipper (12 ouncer) that I will fill with the 12 beers you chose from the following list. As always, new traders are welcomed if you don’t mind shipping first. All the beers listed are around $1.50 each. I’m looking for your locals or regionals that I have not rated.

Oak Creek Hefe
Oak Creek Nut Brown
Oak Creek Amber
Oak Creek Pale ale
Nimbus Pale ale
Nimbus Blonde
Nimbus Brown
Nimbus Oatmeal stout
Nimbus Red
Mogollon Wapiti
Four Peaks 8th Street
Four Peaks Kiltlifter
Grand Canyon American Pilsner
Grand Canyon Horseshoe Bend Pale ale
Grand Canyon Sunset Amber

These are all decent beers that are worth a tick at least. The Grand Canyon beers are only available at the brewery.
Mkade8883

Posted by JAXSON

Anybody know Mkade8883 (Matthew)? We worked out a trade in September and he got my (expensive) box of beer over a month ago. Haven’t heard from him or received anything, and I noticed he hasn’t logged on in a week.

I’m not accusing him of anything, in fact he has good feedback, so in case anyone knows him and wants to give him a heads up, lemme know.

( replies) Read more of this discussion at RateBeer

Mystery Swap 4.0

Posted by kenb

Ok i am back....26 lbs lighter and finally drinking beer again, so it has been a year now since the last SWAP. I miss my swappers, and the hoppalicous beers they send to me..and you and...!
The first 3 swaps went quite well. Who is up for another one?
I propose the rules as follows:
We each send a minimum of $25 worth of beer, every 3 weeks to whoever’s turn it is to receive beer on that week.
As always, we try to make it beer they have not rated or is on their want-list.
Let’s limit it to 8 traders this time, over a 6 month period. 15 traders over 10 motnhs gets to be a bit much....
Woohoo, looks like the last guy on the list get’s a nice christmas persent this time! To get in on this, post here and email me. I will sceen everyone out based upon trading history/seniority.
Cheers.
