Common descriptors are Named after the bellringers of St-Mathew-in-the-city who were amongst the first of our regulars in 1995. They were known to drink large volumes of this fine “best” to put back into their bodies what their exertions in the tower had taken out.
Thomas Fawcett malt and English golding and fuggles hops and good hard Burton water have produced a classic “Best”. “Burnished copper in colour it has a solid palate and lingering fruity/bitter finish.” Now dry-hopped in cask. |
