Digging around in the brewery archives, we came across an old font badge for Freedom Wheat from the days when we were based in Fulham, London. We got excited and brewed another one. Based on the original Freedom Wheat beer, it’s 4.9% ABV and is brewed using First Gold hops for the bitterness and Saaz to add aroma. We added orange peel and coriander at the end of the boil, and used a special wheat yeast, which has created a delicious fruity aroma with pronounced banana and spiced notes. Unfiltered, this is cloudy light beer or Belgium style ‘Witbier’ is generously smooth on the mouth.
