Old Fritz or Frederick the Great, is proff that Germans are alright, and that recent historical events have got them tarred with a rather dubious brush. Here was a man who spoke several languages, was a brilliant battle tactician and reformed the judicial system, for the benefit of all classes. He built a rather ailing Prussia back to playing a leading role in Europe. Whilst not everyone was cool with this (Poles and Austrians mainly), many found him to be a worthy leader and generally good for a multi-nationed continent like Europe. A great German man deserves a great German beer. Here is our tribute - Prost!
