Water Sign IPA is made from 100% Michigan-grown products – from the Cascade and Crystal hops provided by Michigan’s own Empire Farms to the barley and wheat produced by Michigan Malting. Water Sign is light in color, but boasts a big hop character. The Crystal hops are added in the fermenter and add a refreshing aroma to the slightly spicy character and well-defined malt flavor. Water Sign IPA is a collaboration brew made by New Holland partners Brett VanderKamp and Fred Bueltmann and the newest member of NHBC, Steve “Bert” Berthel. This beer not only celebrates their birthdays but also shines a light on something all three have a passion for – Michigan-made products.
