Bottled and draught, special
THE BEER: Black Heart combines two of my great loves, coffee and beer. Brewed woth Columbus and Cascade hops followed by a HUGE dry hop addition of Citra and dry bean addition of Ethiopian Sedie Yirgacheffe from Square Mile coffee roasters in London. The combination of the coffee and hops gives a tropical and citrus character to this deceivingly dark beer.
It’s not a coffee stout. It’s a black coffee IPA. Or if you like, an alcoholic filter coffee. Brewed as a collaboration between Brew Store and Great Grog at the Hanging Bat for Great Grog bottled beer fair on 14th September 2013.
