A traditional Baltic-style Porter was brewed with a lager yeast strain and then lagered for over a year. This porter has very smooth col-fermented lager character with distinctive caramelized sugars, licorice, and a chocolate-like characters of roasted malts and dark sugars. This porter has additions of licorice root, raw cocoa nibs, and coffee (Black Coffee Roasting Co.). It was aged in Maker’s Mark Kentucky Bourbon barrels for over a year which adds a warming, bourbon, oak, and vanilla complexity to the lager.
