Malty, sweet. Sessionable. Closer to an American Amber than the usual Pale Ale or IPA. Most people seem to shy away from the word, "bitter," but this type of bitter exhibits more malt than hops, and the hopping that is there is all old world hops that bitter the back of the tongue much more than the aggressive and astringent flavors we usually associate with beer we’d describe as, "bitter."
