Rogggenbier is a traditional German style, one of the few we’ve had yet to brew. Essentially a dark hefe with rye replacing the wheat, the beer shows the classic aromas and flavors associated with hefe but leans spicy with clove notes. The beer has some residual sugar but that spice along with a pleasant acidity and lively carbonation bring the beer balance.
