Cask; Special - Beer of the month for November 2007.

This name is a corruption of a term used in coopering, of which there are many. In actual fact, a lord was the name for a cask that leaned over and was not upright and from this came the saying ‘as drunk as a lord’. Perhaps the Cooper who made the cask had attained the same level of enlightenment.

Medium oak in colour - the favourite wood of the cooper – with a balance of malt and hops from the pale, dark and crystal malts and dwarf hedgerow hops.
