This dark German lager style beer has a deep reddish-brown to black color with a mild roasted malt character without the bitterness commonly associated with other dark beers. It has a moderate body which gently enhances the malt flavor and aroma with low levels of sweetness. Hop bitterness, flavor and aroma are low but perceptible with no fruity esters.
