The Indiana Replicale is an ongoing project by the Brewers of Indiana Guild and headed by Sun King’s own Dave Colt. Every brewery in the state is invited to participate and brew a singular recipe, thus allowing each brewery to showcase their own unique style and character. This particular Replicale is a recreation of the first commercially produced Indiana beer, which dates back to 1838. It was originally crafted by the New Harmonist, founders of New Harmony, Indiana on the banks of the Wabash River. Our interpretation has a rich, brown hue and a Roasty nose. There is a slight nutty character from the specialty malts and a crisp, clean finish from the Lager yeast used to ferment it.
