Auckland Pilsener Auckland Brewers Auckland, Auckland
Beer style: Pilsener / Pils / Pilsner Ref: ratebeer.com May2024
Common descriptors are New Zealand malt, hops and water are all perfectly suited to producing excellent Pilsener style beers. True to its name, Auckland Pilsener tastes at first like spring water. Then comes a clean bite of hop, bitterness, and a crisp finish. It is a beautifully refreshing beer, lightly cleansing to the palate, with the appetising dryness that helps define the Pilsener style. For the technically minded, the bittering hops are Super Alpha and the aroma hops are the classic Saaz variety, originally from the Czech Republic and now grown in New Zealand. Auckland Pilsener is hopped three times during the brewing process. |
