A dedicated group has engaged the Alley Cat Brewery out of Edmonton to create a SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE Athabasca Centennial beer - Athabaska Dick. It should be available early June. Four different labels will be available for all the collectors out there... Robert Service wrote poems about trappers, scowmen and the people of Athabasca - one of his most beloved poems is Athabaska Dick. Although Service remained a British subject all his life, but he said of Canada’s north, "It seems as if I had never lived anywhere else." I hear ya Mr. Service - the north holds a special place in the hearts of its residents.
