La "Salty Dog" è una variazione della "Dudes" la quale, attraverso passaggio in botti di Whisky torbato (in porzione Caol Ila), aquisisce le nobili caratteristiche del legno. I caratteri distintivi sono il classico torbato del whisky di Islay, ed in questo caso la nota distintiva è il sapore del mare dovuto dal fatto che la distilleria in questione è sulla baia e le botti vengono impregnate dagli aromi della baia e dal salmastro. Birra unica nel suo genere e di grande classe. Da gustare a piccoli sorsi come birra da meditazione.
