Hobsons launched a new charity beer in March for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) who celebrated their 30th Anniversary. The beer named Old Prickly by the BHPS facebook fans has been a huge hit with demand outselling supply. Hobsons and the BHPS have been overwhelmed with the support of the new bottled beer both from the retailers and general public. The beer is a crisp golden 4.2% bottle conditioned ale which Hobsons is donating 5p to the charity from every bottle sold. To help the celebrations in April the beer was also made available in cask with over 50 pubs taking on the special brew.
