He certainly loved his helles lager which he gladly pulled a bottle from a natural spring in his garden and shared with plenty of friends who would stop by to visit. His true passion though was Asbach, a Ger-man brandy that is quite bourbon like, caramel colored, sweet with alcohol and vanilla tones. So to honor Heini we brewed a higher alcohol amber ale with low bitterness and aged in bourbon barrels. This beer has similar qualities as the brandy but with a hint of cocoa in the nose and flavor. Prosit Heini! May heav-en have plenty of Asbach.
