Five years ago when the orchard owner was considering apple cider varieties, he noted Dabinett as one of the most popular apples used in making English style ciders . Dabinett trees were planted in 2008 and in 2011 the first full crop of apples were harvested. The result is a semi-dry English style cider, deep gold and a little cloudy; typical for this style. Full bodied with light to moderate astringency. Pair with a cheese plate, roasted chicken and vegetables, or a pork roast. |
