Steamboat....The legendary horse of Wyoming and a symbol of the western Spirit. The horse that dared cowboys to try and stay on.

When naming a beer after a legend, it can’t be just any beer, it needs to capture the same spirit as Steamboat...that "I DARE YOU" attitude. This beer also needs to be special, not mass produced, which is why we have decided once again to only brew up 400-22oz bottles for 2013, making this beer truly the rarest beer in the west.

This monster of a beer is thick, lightly carbonated, rich and smooth as velvet, but under that pleasant mouth watering flavor lurks a beast that has just been set free. We brew this bad boy with an insane amount of grains, honey, molasses, whole vanilla beans and then to top it off we age it in a whiskey barrel to lend that slight warming sensation and smooth taste, but do not let that feeling of ecstasy fool you...Steamboat comes in at 13% Alc/Vol..so take it easy or just like it’s namesake did to countless cowboys, you will hit the ground!

Steamboat day is a celebration of that western spirit. Make sure you have plans to come out and have a little fun, and if you are not a stout drinker, don’t worry we will have plenty of other mouth watering beers for you plus bands and food.
