Our Kickstarter supporters Debby and Steve helped us design and brew this beer, and came up with this great name! This beer is named after the Doubloon Wheaten Terrier dog breed. An India Wheat Ale is a new style featuring wheat malt in the grain bill while still being a heavily hopped IPA. It uses a clean American Yeast strain to let the hops sit prominently on top of the soft, wheat based malt bill. The hop profile is citrus forward – grapefruit and orange zest – with the bitterness complementing the significant hop presence but maintaining balance with the soft wheat malt.
