This beer is a marriage of ingredients from these two great beer pioneering countries. German Pilsner and Munic malts were used in conjunction with American grown hops that have German noble hop ancestry. They contribute a distinctive spicy, earthy, and herbal quality to the beer. Think of it as a cross between a German Pilsner and an American Blonde Ale. I was looking to create a beer that shows a good balance between bitterness and maltiness, but leaning a touch toward the bitter side. This helps provide some of the dry and refreshing qualities. The hop aroma and flavor should be evident, but not as heavy as an American Pale Ale or IPA.
