As from batch 4, Februari 2013, this beer is being brewed at Gulden Spoor, no longer at Maenhout. This is also printed on the wrapper. Qantelaar is the first beer of brewery "d’Oude Maalderij". 4 guys with a passion for craft beer founded the brewery in 2011. Since then, we try to design and improve our recipes in order to create artisanal Belgian craft beers. The "Qantelaar" is created with 5 malts, a bit of candy sugar, 2 hops and ferments in the bottle. We use 30% more ingrediënts than a regular brown beer which gives it a great body and taste. We don’t add any herb, spice or chemical compound in the traditional Belgian brown strong beer. Try to get a hold of it and enjoy the taste of what a good craft beer should taste like.
