There is a lot going on in this beer. From the first pour, aromas of honey, malts and even maple are prevalent. It pours a clear caramel colour with a beige head that quickly dissipates. The taste of alcohol is apparent — some would call it “boozy” and considering its higher alcohol content, it’s to be expected. The initial “hot” alcohol flavours are quickly replaced with sweetness from honey and maple syrup. The sweetness may be a bit much for some. There is no real bitterness in this beer, which is sure to appeal to those with a sweet tooth. It’s likely that this beer is better suited to sipping on cold winter nights.
