Boneyard Red Ale was conceived during service at our restaurant (and spiritual home) Josie Bones. Customers would regularly ask for a light beer with flavour – and in lieu of many other options we realised that we’d just have to brew one. Inspired by American Amber Ales (a style that works beautifully with our pork-centric menu) but with the balance and drinkability of an English Dark Mild. Six malts contribute a rich malt aroma (biscuit, bread crust, hazlenut) while new world hops add fruitiness (mandarin, pine, apricot) and a mild bitterness. It’s the craft beer drinkers mid-strength.
