Ward 45 beer is a pale ale made with local fresh hops grown by residents of the 45th Ward and other surrounding areas. This is a one of a kind beer made up of Cascade, Nugget, Centennial, Chinook, Golding, and Columbus Hops. About 25lbs of local hops were donated from 12 local growers a couple of weeks ago. We wrote the recipe at the beginning of brew day and collectively brewed the beer. After 2 weeks of fermentation, a golden ale emerged with a distinct hop flavor.
