Brewing is, in its most basic form, an act of balance. The best brewers balance the myriad characters of a beer in order to render it easily to drink and enjoy. This example of one of our favorite styles balances the caramel, chocolate, and coffee notes of Robust Porter, with German-sourced Beechwood-smoked malt. The result is a combination of flavors and aromas that seem to eclipse the sum total of the parts.
