Don’t let the name fool you. An ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is really just an English Pale Ale. Named for my 5 month old son Eugene, who already has an eye for Dad’s beer, is a little brewer in the making. This brew pours bright copper in color with a light white head. Hop bitterness is present but light. This is certainly a malt forward beer with hints of biscuit, nut and sweet caramel notes. Will become maltier as it warms. Cheers!
