Chainsaw is a Swedish legendary core member of The Aquabats from 1995 to 2006. His powers of Kung-Fu and woodworking were well known all throughout the land. Chainsaw wielded his guitar much like he did his nunchucks - with authority! Chainsaw the Prince of Karate is a collaboration between Odd13 and Big Choice Brewing in Broomfield, CO. Odd13 is all about superheroes. Big Choice is all about punk rock. Chainsaw is all about both. The base beer for chainsaw is roughly a Belgian blonde ale with flaked rice. From there, the beer is soured in the kettle using lactobacillus until a PH of 3.5 is reached. The beer is then boiled to kill the lacto. Odd13 fermented their half with 100% Brettanomyces and Big Choice used a Saccharomyces/Brettanomyces blend. The beer was dosed with 8 pounds per barrel of Dragonfruit puree in the fermenter. The result is a puckery Awesome Ale!
