Ever heard of the American Comet hop? No? Well, me neither until it appeared on the hop merchant’s list last month! Obviously we had to give it a blast and see what it could do... Quite a bit, it turns out, giving a quite complex "rhubarb and custard" fruitiness to the beer not dissimilar from what Chinook gives these days so it made sense to add some of that and also some Citra too, but only a touch. Dry-hopped with 100% Comet, this should be a good example of what the hop can do and we can’t wait to get the sampling glasses out!
