Ladyface® Red Rye, our single-hopped American red ale, this year features Nelson Sauvin hops, a varietal grown in New Zealand. Named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, it is known for its strong fruity flavor and aroma resembling white wine, fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries. Aromas flow from fruity hops to light toffee on the nose. Balanced with sweet malt tones, the 20% flaked rye in the recipe lends dryness to the finish. A great beer on a hot day, Brewer Dave recommends it with our Harissa fries and a grilled cheese sandwich.
